Every year, Edexcel provides more than 4,000 training events for schools, colleges, and employers, using a variety of formats appropriate to the needs of each organisation.

Edexcel’s National Training Programme offers events throughout the academic year, supporting schools in raising attainment with Edexcel qualifications.

Edexcel’s customised training service works with a group of staff from your centre to help you with any of the following:

  • Identifying solutions to issues relating to learning and assessment
  • Establishing quality and other systems
  • Clarifying specification requirements; for example, coursework, portfolio, examination, assessment or grading issues
  • Curriculum/course planning, design, and implementation
  • Developing and implementing quality and other systems.

Training Workshops are practical and interactive workshops facilitated by an Edexcel specialist trainer, and include training material for each delegate specifically designed to meet the needs of your staff. These events are designed for up to 20 delegates.

Guidance Events are informal events for a maximum of six staff where you are able to discuss specific centre queries and benefit from the specialist skills of the trainer. A master copy of the materials will be provided for your centre to copy as needed.

Student Support Sessions provide an experienced examiner, moderator or verifier to lead a session to support your students as they prepare for their coursework assessment or examination.

Edexcel also offers online training, with new possibilities for learning and networking. This is ideal not only for those who are restricted by time, geography and budget, but also for those who prefer virtual training.

Edexcel offered our staff training and it was extremely beneficial. The service from Edexcel has really made a difference.”
